Thousands are now debt free even though they owed $20,000, $30,000 even $50,000 or more.

Here are a few of their stories

“One call to New Era changed my life.”

It was another sleepless night. I couldn’t pay my Chase card that month. It was the first time in my life I had not paid my bills. Next month was going to be worse – the balances weren’t getting any smaller and I just didn’t know what I was going to do.

Little did I know how much worse it was going to get.

Three months later, and I’d missed more bills. My own guilt for not paying regularly was bad enough, but now the creditors were calling at all hours of the day on my past due bills.

Over time, things continued to go downhill. The creditor calls got worse, the interest and fees kept racking up, the stress was almost unbearable; and I had no idea how I was going to get out from under it.

That’s when I found New Era Debt Solutions. After talking to a New Era debt consultant, and understanding how the program worked, I decided this was the best solution for me.

I was surprised at how quickly the settlement offers started to come in, and my debts began to go away. Along with the debt disappearing, my anxiety and fears began to fade away as well. I felt a sense of peace that I had not felt in a long long time.

Now the whole process is over and I could not be any happier. The angry collectors have stopped calling. I don’t have a mountain of debt looming over me. My health has improved from not being so stressed out about what I was going to do.

My entire quality of life has improved since I took that step to call New Era Debt Solutions, and I am thankful everyday for my decision.

“A divorce put me into debt”

I went through a terrible divorce and all the money was taken out of my bank accounts. I started living off credit cards for everything – whether it was clothes or food or entertainment or furniture. As I got deeper and deeper into debt I reached the point where I couldn’t make even the minimum payments. I knew it would be impossible to ever pay those cards off.

I didn’t tell anybody I was drowning. I didn’t talk to anybody. I was ashamed and embarrassed. It was very hard to call and say I needed help. It was the first time I’ve ever done that in my life.

When I finally got up the nerve to call New Era, it wasn’t at all what I expected. They were kind and helpful, and very discreet. They made me realize I wasn’t the only person in this situation and I felt better knowing that.

They were there every step of the way. Even if nothing immediate is happening they would still call me just to check in.

It was a good process. I’m so glad I went through it.

“Losing our jobs nearly drove us to bankruptcy”

When I lost my job, my husband and I didn’t have enough income to pay our credit card bills so we began borrowing from one card to make minimum payments on the others. Then my husband lost about half of his income and we were in big trouble. We had taken out a home equity loan when the real estate market was high and spent all of that.

I had no idea what to do. What a horrible feeling! I couldn’t eat or sleep. I felt like such a loser. I knew we had gotten ourselves into this situation but we needed help to get out of it. I thought we would have to declare bankruptcy.

New Era saved our lives – or at least our sanity. They showed us how to avoid bankruptcy. They arranged a single monthly payment that was low enough for us to make and started negotiating with our creditors. They taught us how to handle the creditor phone calls. They helped us get our lives back.

“All I wanted was to buy nice things for my wife”

I married a wonderful woman and I like buying things for her — jewelry, trips, dinners and wine – stuff like that. When I first started buying things with my credit card, I paid the bill off every month. Then one month I couldn’t pay the whole thing so I only paid part.

Soon I had hit the limit on that card and I started using a second card. Before I knew it, I had $100,000 in credit card debt. And then my business took a nosedive. There was no way I could make even minimum payments.

I’m not sure which was worse – having to tell my wife or having to seek help. Lucky me. My wife understood and she helped me find New Era.

Within just a few days we had agreed to a monthly payment plan and I was able to stop worrying. It took a few years, but everything is finally paid off and I have learned my lesson.
